January is just around the corner.Lets here the Buzz about your local High School,or who's who as far as the new incoming Freshman talent to the out going Seniors.Who's going to show in State this year? Will Fletcher make a run at being undefeated after going so close last year? Shocked

Fletcher may be able to take another run at it this year Robert. They are returning 7 starters and have plenty of talent to fill the 2 open spots. The loss of their starting pitcher may be the biggest shoes to be filled, but they have ample pitching waiting for their chance, 1 freshman, 3 sophmores, a junior and a senior all seasoned players. I am sure with Fletcher' tough as nails defense, aggresive and powerful offense and speed on the bases they will have a very strong season.

We played them at Regionals,they put it on us,I was very impressed with that team.Teams to watch from our area is Timber Creek,and Hagerty.They should be very tough.

The Lake Mary Early Bird tournament has some pretty tough teams in it.Not sure how to paste it on here ,but if someone can do it,it would be nice,Right Dana?

I saw the list Robert but I can't remember where. I do know it's a who's who of top Central Florida teams. Eau Gallie is in a very hard bracket.

Congrats to the Hatters Gold girls Class of 2013 all have made the Varsity squad.That all comes from the commitment and dedication you've made.This acomplishment makes me and coach Eric very happy and proud of you.I would like to thank the parents for the opportunity to coach your daughters.I am so looking forward to sitting back and watching her play with her High School team as a spectator,fan,etc.

Howell toook an early 2-0 lead until sem.tied it in the 4th.and then the bottom fell out for Sem.Howell batted around one inn.and run ruled Sem 12-2. Howell has some good slappers,good speed.

E-ridge are for real,a seasoned team,very good slappers,athletic infield,very agressive on the bases with their speed. Brantley lacking in chemistry,and leadership could be a long rough season if they don't find their Identity soon.Brantley lost tonight at home 17-1. last night E-ridge defeated a good Hagerty team 12-2.

I had the West Orange Harmony game last night. 2 really good teams. it was a 9 inning thriller. Both of these teams are very good.

Leading the way this past weekend at the Lk Mary Early bird tourney Was Amanda Brown going 8-11 in 3games and Elizabeth Birle with a grand salami and a three run dinger in 3 games as well.and Sharde Alls added a dinger herself.But it was Lk Howell edging out the win in the other half of the bracket final over Winter sprgs. 9-6.Both teams did not throw their aces in this one.Good start for both teams in this tourney.

Harmony coming off a huge win against a very tough Eastridge the night before,comes into the Silverhawks nest with alot of confidence. Freshmen Lauren Harris gives Harmony the early lead with a 2 run dinger,silverhawks ties the game back,until the bottom of the 6th with the top of their line-up.Lk Howell's 2.9 slapper leads off with a slap up the middle and the clutch hitting of their Ace pitcher keeps the inning rolling to score 3 more to hold off a very good Harmony team. Lk Howell wins 5-2 with timely hitting.again good job by the Silverhawks in this one.
